Two cities in the Central Asian country will now be accessible via the affordable airline from the UAE capital.
Budget airline Wizz Air has added two new cities to its flight routes.
Now, people of the UAE hoping to travel to Kazakhstan can travel via Abu Dhabi to Nur-Sultan – the country’s capital – and Almaty – its largest metropolis.
The first flight is set to take place on May 13, although tickets can already be purchased. Fares currently start from AED159.
“The new routes from Abu Dhabi to Almaty and Nur-Sultan will encourage increased travel between the UAE and Kazakhstan through ultra-low-fare travel options,” said managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Kees Van Schaick
“We are confident that the new routes will inspire desire to travel and open the doors to new cultural experiences.”
At the time of writing, travellers arriving in the country will need to present a negative PCR test, taken within 72 hours of arrival.
Currently, only tourists from a handful of countries – the UAE included – are permitted entry.
