Emirates has announced the return of two of its popular destinations, Kuwait City and Lisbon, bringing the total to 70 cities.
Daily flights to Kuwait City resumed today, while routes to the Portuguese capital will be available starting August 16, and will operate three flights per week via a Boeing 777-300. The restoration/return of flights to these destinations marks the servicing of more than 50 per cent of Emirates’ pre-pandemic passenger network.
Earlier last month, Emirates became the first airline to offer a cover of medical expenses of up to EUR 150,000 (AED 650,000) and quarantine costs of EUR 100 (AED 400) per day for 14 days, for passengers diagnosed with COVID-19 during their travel, free of cost to its customers. Emirates customers travelling before October 31, 2020 will receive the cover automatically when booking their flight.
The list of restored flights include:
- Ho Chi Minh City
- Hong Kong
- Kuala Lumpur
- New York
- Los Angeles
- Sao Paulo
- Addis Ababa
- Dar Es Salaam
Indian Ocean Islands
Travel restrictions: Customers are reminded that travel restrictions remain in place, and travellers will only be accepted on flights if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries.
