Be among the first to explore the new 100,000-square-metre Dive Bahrain site, complete with sunken Boeing 747

Scuba gear at the ready. The Kingdom of Bahrain has unveiled a sprawling new underwater theme park featuring a 70-metre-long decommissioned Boeing 747 as its centerpiece – the largest aircraft ever to be submerged as an attraction.

Dive Bahrain, which is situated nearby Bahrain International Airport, is set to lure dive enthusiasts from around the globe, with its star attraction complemented by a series of novel sites to swim around. The underwater theme park includes a replica of a traditional Bahraini pearl merchant’s house, as well as artificial coral reefs and other sculptures especially fabricated and submerged to provide a safe haven for coral reef growth and ensure a sustainable habitat for marine life.

While giving you an immersive experience to remember, the eco-friendly park, developed by Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and the Supreme Council for Environment, will also provide researchers with a coveted source of information on marine ecologies while raising awareness of the importance of preserving marine life.
