Egypt to introduce visa fee for GCC nationals

The UAE embassy in Cairo took to Twitter to alert travellers from the region of a visa fee upon entry starting this month

Egypt will impose a $25 visa fee for GCC nationals as of March 21, 2021, it has been announced.

Taking to its official Twitter page, the United Arab Emirates’s embassy located in the Egyptian captain informed its followers that, as of the 21 of this month, the visa fee will be applicable to citizens of Arab countries.

At $25, that currently converts to approximately AED92 for travellers visiting from the UAE.

According to reports in Gulf News, the decision was initially published it the Egyptian government gazette, and certain countries may be exempt, however, the finer details are yet to be disclosed.
