Is this the most luxury wellness retreat on the market?
If a week-long juice detox and yoga retreat is simply not going to cut the post-pandemic blues, there’s a new wellness experience on the market that promises you’ll leave feeling more than just ‘refreshed’. Luxury ‘home away from home’ company, Ultima Collection has just announced its new retreat, ‘The Ultima Escape’. The minimum of one-month-long stay is complete with bespoke treatment plans, private chefs, and personal spas at any of their Alps or Mediterranean properties. With prices for 10 people starting from one million dirhams, it’s certainly no cheap fix, but how much wellness-bang do you actually get for your buck?
In partnership with VisaJet, the luxury ‘cabin experience’ begins with the flight there. With a specially designed-for-relaxation-jet, highly attentive service is provided by cabin hostesses who were trained by the British Butler Institute and the meal is pre-selected by the guest from a restaurant of their own choosing.
Touching down in either the Alps or the Mediterranean, guests can select from a range of extraordinary properties to reside in for their month or longer stay. Each residential option has state-of-the-art amenities such as cinemas, spas, saunas, and swimming pools, with some even having their own private nightclubs.
“The average length of stay at our properties is 33 days and we are continuing to witness a steep increase in the number of our long-stay guests,” says Michala Chatel, Managing Partner at Ultima Collection.
The retreat starts with individual health checks with a nutritionist, personal trainer and massage therapist. Once the guests have been assessed, the experts will prepare bespoke plans for the duration of the stay. “Our programme offers a wide scope of highly personalised and targeted treatments,” explains Michala, “administered by highly trained and trusted professionals, that support holistic wellness and a healthy lifestyle across three main pillars; immunity protection, lifestyle and environment, and future healing.”
As part of the experience, each guest receives four massages and three personal training sessions per week, a tailored Immunity booster supplement that’s made in Switzerland with an adaptation after 2 weeks, plus a butler and chef on hand to cater to whims. And if holistic wellness just isn’t transformative enough, guests are also offered various ‘aesthetic treatments’ so they can leave a whole new person…
