An exciting season of elevated dining experiences await at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, from the return of old favourites to culinary celebrity check-ins and a festive calendar bursting with gourmet good cheer
In a city of sky-high superlatives JW Marriott Marquis Dubai stands out from the crowd. Its duo of 72-storey iconic towers are an inviting beacon of welcoming hospitality on the constant hum of bustling Sheikh Zayed Road, and its reputation as a destination of exceptional taste is well deserved.
Open up any respected travel guide to the emirate and you’re sure to find the hotel highlighted on the Dubai bucket list under foodie experiences. In the decade since opening its doors, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai has hosted some of the world’s best chefs, shared its five-star passion for gastronomic innovation, and chopped, grilled, stir-fried and poured its way into our culinary consciousness.
With 12 multi-award-winning restaurants and lounges representing a world map of unique dining experiences, this season promises to be one of the most appetising ever. New openings of old friends meet visiting kitchen maestros, culminating in a year-end celebration with the best views in town.
Kicking things off with a sense of déjà vu is the return of a timeless favourite: the reopening of the legendary Rang Mahal restaurant. Exit the fourth-floor elevator and relive fond memories with the restaurant’s intimate space reprising the colourful murals and intricately carved giant wooden columns of its heyday. The menu is anything but retro, with an on-trend collection of north to south dishes spanning Jain, vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences courtesy of head chef Alok Kumar.
A delicious taster of what’s to come, attention turns next to the festive gourmet calendar, with an extended season of interactive occasions starting on November 21st 2021 with the hotel’s second annual Celebrity Chef Series. A week-long festival of food, this year’s event welcomes award-winning New York-based Thai culinary exponent, Chef Hong Thaimee to Dubai. A former model with a master’s degree in business, she will showcase her unique take on modern comfort food.
December promises myriad upscale festive experiences, from the dizzying heights of the hotel’s upper floors to a relaxed terrace location overlooking the Dubai Canal. Next-generation steakhouse Prime68 launches a premium bubbly dinner experience Wednesday December 1st. Or, for a more laidback affair, the ever-popular brunch at Bridgewater Tavern runs every Friday from 1pm to 4pm, with a special Christmas themed brunch set for Friday 24th and Saturday December 25th.
Mark your diary for 31st December with a gala to end all galas. Wave goodbye to 2021 and cheer in the New Year at Aqua, for an al fresco terrace celebration with a front row seat for the spectacular Burj Khalifa fireworks extravaganza. Expect a glamour-filled evening of gourmet dining from live cooking stations, free-flowing beverages and a memorable performance from soulful singer-songwriter Claudia Patrice.
